Overall, Boulud Sud is a culinary gem in the heart of New York City. With its impeccable service, exquisite dishes, and sophisticated ambiance, this restaurant is sure to delight even the most discerning food connoisseurs.

The food here is certainly tasty, but I'm not sure it's the best high-end Mediterranean fare that I've had. The cocktails were delicious as well as the Mezze. The ambience here is a more traditional vibe, so I'd definitely ensure that's the feel you're seeking. It appeals more to the pre-theater crowd. The service was wonderful, but a very formal experience.

Nice venue for special occasions. We dined here for my father's birthday and they truly made the occasion special witn exceptional service. I ordered the bavette steak which complimented the wine the sommelier ordered quite well Nicd ambiance, decent food, exceptional wine, tasty desserts (not pictured but tasty)

This is perhaps my 3rd time at Boulud Sud. We are fortunate to live nearby. This was a birthday dinner. The 5 of us ordered 2x the sea bass, the wagyu bavette, the cabbage mejadra, and the scallops. We also had a mezze plate, and a side order of "patatas bravas", and some sorbet/ice cream. We ordered one of the less expensive wines, a St. Emilion. It was quite good and exactly as described by the waitress. (I picked it out, but she was very knowledgeable about their wine list). The mezze plate, which sounds like it could be similar as one would find at a kebab joint, was quite good, and quite unlike anything one would find at any kebab joint, and even better than Laser Wolf's. The bavette was extremely tender and buttery. The cabbage mejadra was quite interesting. The scallops were fresh and well prepared. Service was there when we needed it but out of sight otherwise. And Boulud Sud has one of he more pleasant dining rooms in NYC. Please be advised that this is not the adjacent Bar Boulud, and a much nicer experience overall.

Nothing like a daytime meal by the sidewalk over its well portioned light fare paired with fitting wine on a good weather day. You are transported to Europe :) Evening dining in the dining room is like any good, polished '$$$' restaurant. I would go there for general fine dining but wouldn't call it out as remarkable or strikingly differentiated beyond a point for its price point.

Great food before theater! Came here with friends to dine with awesome food before seeing Camelot at the Lincoln center. What an epic meal we had! Each of us ordered price fixe which consisted three courses. Mezze 4 stars Fluke 5 stars Asparagus Soup 4 1/3 stars Morocco Chicken , very moist and flavorful 5 stars Grapefruit 5 stars

Still love this restaurant. The service is amazing, the space is beautiful - love the open kitchen and we enjoyed the food. We had/have had: - Mezze Platter - not sure what I ate, but it was delicious. - Moroccan Chicken Tangine - delicious - Olive Oil Poached Salmon - very good - Grapefruit Givre - highlight of the meal. This is a must have. A frozen hallowed out grapefruit, filled with grapefruit sorbet, topped with shaved halva. Overall a great meal!

I'm going to get right into it and rave about the grapefruit givre. I almost always get some form of chocolate dessert because it rarely disappoints. The grapefruit givre was not even on my radar, but I'm so so glad that I veered from my norm. It was amazing. Amazing! I can't even describe all of the floral notes, sweet and sticky, cold and refreshing layers. Do people know about this and never told me? I dream about this dessert and will come back for that as my main course. Boulud Sud is located across from Lincoln Center. Nice ambiance. Pre fixe 3 course dinner Tues - Sat 5-7pm is reasonably priced at $75...for a fancy place. Many vegetarian options for my meatless bffs. The dishes are not all winners, some are finger licking food and some less memorable, but overall solid.

Wife and I always have a great time here...we keep coming back as one of our neighborhood favorites. A bit pricey, but we'll worth it! A culinary experience with an old world/classy atmosphere/setting. Well done Daniel Boulud.

Came with two girlfriends for Winter Restaurant Week! Food/Drink: For restaurant week, the deal was a three course dinner for $60. For some items there was an additional fee. Appetizer: Octopus A La Plancha (extra fee) - definitely worth it! Octopus was perfectly cooked, and it came with more pieces than I would expect for an appetizer portion. Main Course: Seared Mediterranean Sea Bass - This was also perfectly cooked and delicious. I like the accoutrements of the carrots, wheat berries, and pistachios. My friends got their famous Moroccan Chicken Tagine, which was scrumptious as well! Dessert: Grapefruit Givre (extra fee) - Many people in the dining room got this dessert because of the presentation since it's served in the actual grapefruit. I don't love very sweet desserts, so this was perfect for my palate. The sorbet and accompaniments were a great end to the meal. French 64: This drink has rose gin and elderflower, so it was light and refreshing. Service/Ambiance: Service was impeccable. The decor was interesting and reminded me of a hotel lobby. You have a nice view into the kitchen and expediting window. Overall: I would come back again to sample more dishes!

Really nice place! Good service and quality food. I had the duck, which was excellent. Others in the party had duck ragu and chicken tanigne. We came in at six, and it was fairly quiet and easy to chat. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, and it was kind of loud. But still a wonderful place.
